Privacy Policy
For the Podlore iOS app · Last updated June 14, 2026
Who we are
Podlore is an iOS app developed by Slow and Steady Apps ("we," "us"). This policy explains what information the app handles and why. If you have questions, contact us at podlore@outlook.com.
Information we handle
Topics you enter
When you generate an episode, the topic text and duration you choose are transmitted to our backend service and on to third-party AI providers (see below) to write a script and produce audio. We do not use your topics to build a profile of you, and we do not associate them with your identity.
Subscription status
Podlore offers an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple's App Store. Apple processes your payment — we never receive or store your name, card, or billing details. Our backend receives only a cryptographically signed token from Apple confirming that an active subscription exists, which is used to authorize episode generation.
Anonymous usage analytics
We collect anonymous, aggregated analytics about how the app is used — for example, that an episode was generated or a sample was played, and how long generation took. These events are not tied to your name, account, or device identity and are used only to understand and improve the app.
What we do not collect
- No account, email, name, or password (the app has no sign-in).
- No contacts, photos, location, or health data.
- No advertising identifiers, and we do not run third-party ads.
Third-party services
To generate episodes and run the app, your topic and/or anonymous usage data may be processed by the following providers, each under their own privacy terms:
- Anthropic — generates the episode script from your topic.
- Google Cloud / Google text-to-speech — converts the script to spoken audio.
- Cloudflare — hosts the backend service that routes generation requests.
- Apple — processes subscription purchases and payments.
- Our analytics provider — receives anonymous usage events.
Data retention
Generated episodes are produced on demand and are not stored in a user account. We retain only what is needed to operate the service and understand anonymous usage trends. We do not maintain a database of users or their topics tied to personal identity.
Children
Podlore is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID settings. You can stop all data processing by deleting the app.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
